Equipment has offered extrication training for many years.
Extrication
Techniques: Santiam personnel can provide your department
members with additional extrication techniques training. Sometimes
the difference in a quick extrication and one that takes much
longer is knowledge and skill with using equipment. This is an
area where we can be a help. |

Vehicle
Hazard Training: We used to say "New Vehicle" to
describe what were "new" hazards, such as airbags,
seatbelt pretensioners, etc. But these hazards have been
out for many years now. Most autos you extricate on will
probably have airbags at a minimum, and some much more
than that. Knowledge on how to mitigate extrication hazards
is essential to rescue personnel. |
