Genesis spreaders are designed & engineered to have “More Power Up Front”… meaning that they have more power at the tip of the tips, when the arms are closed. The undamaged car has its greatest strength when the tool is just starting its spread, and the spreader’s arms are closed and tool is at its lowest force output (LSF, or Lowest Spreading Force). As the spreader’s arms opens, its force increases exponentially…which is nice, but the force is less needed at that point. When comparing spreaders, the most important force to compare is the NFPA-LSF force number. Genesis spreaders include their exclusive push button control, an ergonomic & compact handle design, and very aggressive spreading / pinching tips.
